LCC-I warmly welcomes Its New Schoolhead!
Sister Ma. Lina R. Despojo, OSA assumes office as the Schoolhead starting the current school year 2008-2009. She hails from Bacolod. She obtained her master’s degree at De La Salle University, Manila. A seasoned administrator, she has been assigned to varied Augustinian Schools in the country and had a brief teaching stint at a Seminary in Tanzania, Africa. LCC Alumni fondly remember her as their high school math teacher right here in school (LCA – then) in the early 70’s.

Massive Renovations Going On…..
LCC-I is turning 60 in January, 2009. To prepare for this diamond event massive preparations are now going on. The grotto (to be named Jardin de Maria) by the Mother Rita Barceló building is undergoing a massive facelift for the occasion.
Furthermore BSHRM Training Center is vigorously prepared for the Opening of a
4-year ladderized BS-HRM course in June, 2009. This features state-of-art facilities for Café Consuelo and Hotel Consolatrix – the function hall and mini-hotel respectively.

LCC-I Emerges Winner at Peñafrancia Military Parade
Despite the freak hostage-taking event at the Peñafrancia Traslacion – the LCCian’s spirit was not dampened at the Military Parade. They emerged 7th Place as The Most Disciplined Unit; 8th Place Best Marching Unit (Boys); and 7th Place Best Drum and Lyre Corps. Mabuhay!

Application for ESC Underway!
To keep the school of service to the bigger community and thereby enhance the accessibility of a Christian quality education to the poor – LCC-I has applied for certification to the Educational Service Contracting Service Program (ESC) sponsored by FAPE and DepEd. Self-survey assessment is currently undertaken by the High School staff. Visit is due on November 28, 2008. 2008 Alumni Homecoming Set on December 29, 2008
Calling all Alumni! The hosts for the homecoming are the 8379 Batch Association Incorporated. Being a highly-organized and compact group the batch presented their plans for the alumni affair to include fun-run, tiangge, mass, socials and other prizes and surprises. Come one! Come all!

Supreme Family Council Holds Annual Parents’ General Assembly
Atty. Wilmentita C. Oliva-Zorilla, the Supreme Family Council President spearheaded the induction of Parents’ Homeroom Officials and a General Assembly last October 3, 2008. Other officers of the Executive Board included: Dr. Tecla S. Dimabayao & Dr. Erma Veras as Vice-Presidents; Engr. Amelia Rariza – Secretary; Mrs. Edna Belmonte – Treasurer; Mr. Edmundo Ampongan – Auditor; Mrs. Monica Llorin – PIO; Mr. Jacob Jove & Mrs. Laarni Salcedo – Business Managers. Board Members include: Dr. Bernardita Acero, Mr. Gerson Ayo, Mrs. Teresita Monge, Mr. Danny Lasay, Mrs. Peresa Pana and Mr. Sonny Belmonte.
